Democrats Lead in 7 Senate Races for Seats Currently Held by Republicans

In Colorado, John Hickenlooper leads Cory Gardner by 18 points according to a poll released May 6 from Keating Research In Arizona, Mark Kelly (husband of Gabby Giffords) leads sitting Republican Senator Martha McSally by nine points according to a poll released by OH Predictive on April 15.

North Carolina’s Cal Cunningham, Michigan’s Gary Peters and Montana’s Steve Bullock all hold nine-point leads over their Republican challengers. The North Carolina and Montana seats are currently held by Republicans.

Democrats are winning or tied in 12 Senate battleground races.

Maine Republican senator Susan Collins trails Sara Gideon by four points according to a March 5 release by Public Policy Polling.

Depending on the Democrat, Joni Ernst is either tied (Eddie Mauro) or losing by one point (Theresa Greenfield) to her Democratic challenger according to polls released by RABA Research and Public Policy Polling in May.

Current polling indicates that a Democratic victory over Texas’ John Cornyn is an uphill battle, with Royce West trailing by eleven points and MJ Hegan trailing by thirteen.

Alabama’s Democratic senator Doug Jones will have a tough time holding onto his seat, trailing potential challengers Tommy Tuberville by 8 points and Jeff Sessions by 13 points.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell holds a slim three-point lead over Democratic challenger Amy McGrath in Kentucky according to Garin-Hart-Yang Research.
